Community Groups

We believe that life was designed to be lived in community. In 1 Corinthians Paul describes the church as the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). In the original Greek language, the term for body is ‘Soma,’ and taking that word to heart our community groups are called Soma Life Groups, this serves as a reminder to encourage building strong bonds and friendships within our community.

Our goal is to disciple one another through our relationships at church and throughout the community. In Matthew 28, Jesus tells us, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” As Christians we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, and he discipled in community with others, building deep, abiding relationships with them.

Likewise, our Soma Life Groups share their lives and grow with one another. The number of group participants range and they meet once a month. Our groups are cross-generational, promoting a wide-range of perspectives offered by people at different life stages. They meet in homes throughout the RVA area. If you have any questions, please contact the church. If you would like to join one, feel free to click the button below. We look forward to hearing from you!

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27
