Remembrance Service

Remembrance Service

The writer of Hebrews encouraged his readers by a summary of the lives of a number of the Old Testament patriarchs like Abraham & Moses. “By faith” they trusted in God and were used greatly.  After this list of triumphs of the faith, the writer says,“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a CLOUD OF WITNESSES, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1)

God is still adding to this cloud of witnesses.  This Sunday evening we will have a “Remembrance Service” to remember some of our church family who went home to be with the Lord in 2017.  Each one of them uniquely created by God and precious to the Lord and to us. We know the Lord wants to hear us share the memories we have of these folks.  Please come join us for this time to remember.
