Important Message from Immanuel Baptist Church – Our COVID-19 Plan for this Weekend and Long-Term

Dear Immanuel Family,
The progression of the COVID-19 virus event has impacted our church schedule. Immanuel staff and leadership have been monitoring this situation. Considering recommendations from the Virginia Governor’s office and the President’s declared national emergency, we have sadly decided to cancel Sunday School and all regular services this Sunday, March 15th, to include Rev. David Nelson’s morning message and the evening service with Carol Orwig. We will reschedule Carol’s missionary report and reception. Going forward, this week IBC leadership will be addressing what happens next week. As the situation develops, we will provide additional updates and information on IBCRichmond.org, social media pages, and church-wide e-mails. Our elders will contact those who do not have access to these forms of media.

What about other gatherings? The governor’s directive is to limit “large public events.” Each small group church activity will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the church office with any questions.

Also, we welcome you to learn more about the risks and study the social distancing etiquette as the risks grow. Please read more at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html
